So this trip is hardly about hiking, but the point was to tag a bunch of San Francisco hills, which I did via a 10 mile walk. First up was Rincon Hill, a point right next to the Fremont Street offramp on I80. I walked down the sidewalk, aiming for First Street, and took that to the top of the hill on First Street, next to a massive building where I have views of the interchange. Ummm, yeah. So then I made my way over to Hayes Hill, taking a route that went by the Capital Building and UN Plaza. The scene from the hill looked like I remember the intro credits to Full House looked like, although I don't care enough to research to see if this is true. Other views were great too. Next up was a walk over to Lafayette Square, topped by a large tree. Then it was time to head over towards Nob Hill, which was nothing more than a highpoint on a sidewalk. Skip this unless you have extremely low standards like me. I believe I took a "summit shot" but I'm not sure since I didn't get the coordinate info so this picture may have been taken before or after the actual highpoint. Next up was Russian Hill, was was actually quite nice, and coming down I had views to the Bay Bridge. With the peakbagging now done, I walked through Chinatown, and over to the TransAmerica Pyramid to wrap up the day. It was fun, but not much of a "hike". Then on my way home I took the Treasure Island exit on the Bay Bridge and drove up to the Yerba Buena Island highpoint. Nice views. Then on my drive home on 580 I saw a much more somber event, with a car engulfed in flames.
